Koors Contracting was built from the ground up. Founded by Rich Koors, a licensed Professional Engineer with over two decades in the industry, we combine technical rigor with the kind of hands-on, relationship-driven approach that keeps clients coming back.
We're a small business with a large-project track record. Our team has managed multi-million-dollar ground-up facilities across the country, government build-outs in Washington D.C., and complex design-build projects throughout the Baltimore region. What makes us different is not the scale of what we've built. It is how we build it.

President
Richard P. Koors, P.E.
Rich founded Koors Contracting after more than two decades working across every phase of construction and development. His background as a licensed Professional Engineer gives him a technical foundation that shapes how the entire company operates, including bid review, field problem-solving, and client communication.
Rich has guided projects ranging from small commercial renovations to multi-million-dollar ground-up builds. His ability to navigate complex design and construction challenges with both technical precision and practical experience is what sets Koors apart from other firms its size.
Construction Manager
Logan Smith
Logan brings 22 years of construction experience to every project, including ten years managing government contracts in Washington, D.C., as a superintendent. His field experience gives him a practical understanding of how plans translate to real-world conditions and how to address the gaps that can arise.
Over the past seven years, Logan has worked on the ownership and development side, successfully completing six separate multi-million-dollar ground-up facilities across the country. He brings that owner's perspective to every client relationship at Koors.
Project Manager
Scott Sanfilippo
Scott has nine years of experience managing construction projects from design development through final closeout. He brings strong experience in project coordination, including submittals, change orders, RFIs, pay applications, and specification compliance, and is known for keeping complex, multi-trade projects on track.
At Koors, Scott serves as the connective tissue between the office and the field, ensuring that every team member, subcontractor, and vendor is aligned and that the client always knows where their project stands.

Lindsay Heaps
Lindsay brings 19 years of office administration and billing experience to Koors Contracting. She manages accounts payable, vendor communications, and the day-to-day administrative operations that keep projects running smoothly behind the scenes. A certified notary, Lindsay handles important documentation with precision and care.

Jackson Woods
Jackson supports commercial construction projects in the field with a focus on subcontractor coordination, jobsite safety, and daily operational oversight. He works closely with project managers to keep work moving efficiently and maintains the standards of quality and professionalism that define every Koors project.

Benjamin Rueter
Ben is an emerging talent in the field with a strong work ethic and sharp attention to detail. He supports daily operations, safety compliance, and field crew coordination, and has quickly become a reliable and accountable member of the Koors team.

Ben brings more than 20 years of construction experience to Koors Contracting, with a background spanning commercial and residential projects from preconstruction through closeout. His expertise in project leadership, quality control, scheduling, safety, and client relations helps ensure every project is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. Ben is committed to building lasting relationships with clients and delivering exceptional results through every phase of construction.
